Feminicide Suspect Found Dead in Tuxtla Gutiérrez

The Chiapas Prosecutor's Office reported that Víctor José Carrera Mayor, a suspect in the femicide case of Liliana Guadalupe "N", was found deceased at a residence in Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Prosecutor's Office personnel are gathering information while Forensic Services transferred the body to the Forensic Medical Service for the official autopsy.

The man was identified as a presumed perpetrator of the femicide of Liliana Guadalupe "N", a 12-year-old girl. The Prosecutor's Office issued a search warrant and a reward for Carrera Mayor, offering 500,000 pesos for information leading to his capture. The suspect was described as being 1.70 meters tall, athletic build, and with a tattoo on his left arm.

Liliana, who disappeared on October 19, was found buried in the backyard of a house in Tuxtla Gutiérrez. The discovery occurred after reports from neighbors due to foul odors. Feminist collectives collaborated in the search using surveillance camera recordings to locate the girl.

Liliana's case shocked public opinion. The Prosecutor's Office will continue the investigation to clarify the events and bring justice to the victim.
